bummer dude. I know how it goes. You just need to remember to baby it. There are way too many people out there who try to ride too soon out of their cast, or even try to ride with a cast. It's hard, but you just need to let it heal. I've jumped the gun too soon, and it's resulted in not only poor riding, but longer healing times as well.

Good luck on your next surgery. It's a setback but just stay positive, and listen to your doc. If you can get a physical therapist when you can start exercising, and learn a bunch from him so you can get yourself dialed.

god damn Eren

that sucks

best thing to do at this point is do what iridebikes said:

baby it as much as possible, although its a pain in the a**, it will pay off and you will regret it if you try and push it and ride before you are recommended too. Although somtimes doctors want you to just wait untill its 150% better because its a liability issue but use your own judgement and best of luck to you in the recovery process

no. straight up listen to your doctor. You may think it's ok to ride because it doesn't hurt anymore and it may seem fine... if he says no riding for 6 more weeks. wait 8. You have no idea how serious I am about it. I've had way too many broken bones for someone who's only 20. Do yourself a favor and just wait. I missed half the season this year. it sucked but you just got to roll with the punches.

Good advice from these guys. I've been through it too, I was seeing a specialist every 2 weeks to check up on my arm after I broke it at a DH race a couple years back. I stayed off it longer than he told me, and I've made a full recovery. Also, stay healthy. Just make wise choices about what you're eating and what you're putting into your body. Lots of water, can't hurt any.

Word.
My bro busted his leg biking. The doctor told him to stay off the bike for 8weeks after he was out of the cast. Anyways he hit the trails after 5 weeks and ended up breaking his leg, along with all the hardware inside. They had to take all of the plates out and do it again. He was in a cast for 6weeks, then was told his physical activity would be limited to walking for the next 8weeks. Being the dumb*ss that he is, he decided he could hit up the powder a couple weeks ago, and what do ya know, he broke his leg again, this time with 2 weeks left in his recovery. Now he might miss the beggining of next bike season (3 breaks in one spot isn't good at all).

There are alot of moving parts to a wrist and an ankle which make them tough bones to heal as well.

i know the only reason i speak up is because i've gone thru broken bones, and without the rod i got put in my leg, there was a chance it would have never healed right.

The doctors nowadays patch us up pretty good. But we all gotta realize these injuries we get, there is a chance of being crippled for life. And when they're really bad, we'll all feel them in some way for the rest of your lives. So do what you can to heal correctly, and try not to go bonkers until then.:monkeydance:

yeah I remember breaking my arm years back in my BMX days...I still have the bone scar, and my wrist is still messed up.

even after waiting and not riding until like 3weeks after the cast came off.

i've had 7 broken bones, and I'm sick of it.

Be cautious, don't make stupid choices like doing some big huck when you're tired, or just goofing off. Mountain biking is dangerouse, and it can and will hurt you. Most of us are lucky we're not dead yet. It's honestly amazing that we get up from some of the falls we take. It's tough to see people go down becaue I know how it feels.

Good luck to you in the healing process. And don't worry about the Sunday, They'll still be there for you! Plus this gives you time to save up cash.
