Saiz did a great job with Beloki and Heras... On the other hand, T-Mobile, while getting good results, is not known for treating its riders well either.

Saiz has a problem with naming one leader and building a team around him. The years Beloki was on the podium, there were a whole stack of ONCE riders that were also in the top 10, and in most cases they were acting just like T-Mobile was this year. Their own guys attacking each other or chasing each other down. Definately not working together with a cohesive strategy for winning the race.
The only thing is that Saiz doesn't have a deep line up at Liberty so he might be forced to put all his eggs into one basket BUT I doubt it.

Hell, it can't be any worse off for him than T-Mobile! Ha!
Bikes are pretty damn similar too, so that'll probably be nice for him.
I personally hope he's able to blossom into a real tour contender. There just aren't enough riders like him out there, guys who ride from the heart, not slaves to the mic in their ear. Guys who attack to spice things up, turn it into a real race...
Agreed on Saiz being somewhat big-headed, but hey, ONCE was always a threat, Beloki was one of the few guys who used to be able to hang with Lance most of the times in the mountains. Most...
Anyway, best of luck to Vino!
Vino could ride w/o a team and still kick some major ass. Liberty Seguros NEEDS a rider like him. They have alot of strong riders, but none seem to have that edge that he'll provide. His approach will definitely motivate the other riders to reach a new level, IMO.
