I have 2 niteriders and both have left me in the dark before , No w I have been using this http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210494&highlight=cree it may not as bright as the HID, But it is depeneable.I have a Nightrider, don't recommend it, unreliable.
I have a pair of Marwi NightPro halogens, they're old but they work fine on the trails. I'f one of my Marwis broke and I couldn't fix it I'd go with the MagisShine that MoffQ is talking about. Too bad the Marwi's are tough and I'm cheap. If you are considering a light I recommend this.
This is a cool site that sells parts to convert your Marwis to SSC P7 LED emitters.I have a pair of Marwi NightPro halogens, they're old but they work fine on the trails. I sell this light and have used it. I like it. I still have working HIDs, but will likely replace them with something like this. I can see pretty well with one. With two, it'd be golden.I have the CygoLite Mity Cross 350. It was cheap, it is bright, small, and I am very happy with it...
When I tell folks how much it costs. They usually want one. The beams are very useful. As soon as I can I am going to put the mity on the bar and use a Milion 200 as my helmet light....I sell this light and have used it. I like it. The cost and the weight sell them. I did a night ride with the whole system on my helmet and it's lighter than the light on my Lume. Super value in the $200ish range. They could be a touch more refined for looks, but they work super well. Several customers use them on the road and have them mounted to stem and bar. Makes me wonder how people are selling $600 LEDs.When I tell folks how much it costs. They usually want one. The beams are very useful. My Niteriders never fail to fail.I know quite a few who use this , and all are happy and it is bright

I have an old Marwi dual bar setup also - it has always worked. The cam latch on the bar clamp leaves a little to be desired, tends to come loose, but they were reasonably priced and proved to be reliable.I have a pair of Marwi NightPro halogens, they're old but they work fine on the trails. To match the lumen output of 2 magicshines you'd have to have 12 of those torches.coleman 100 lumens $24.00 at wal-mart why under $50 bucks one on the helmet one on the bars..
