azonicbruce made a rotor out of some stainless he found being thrown away. We weren't too sure what alloy it was but it was used in a hospital so we were sure it was stainless. The end result was that it ruined his brake pads and never bedded in. I'd say that it should be hardened stainless in order to work well because it seemed that was azonicbruce's problem was that the metal was just too soft to do any good. PM Sideways, he made a rotor to fit his rollhoff hub, hopefully he did his homework on what grade to use. I think he had it laser cut and blanchard ground so I assumed it was hardened or else it could have been machined.
