Glazier's is definitely a good shop. They also offer equipment rentals which is great if you buy an SLR. You can rent something that you're only going to need once or rent and try before you buy.

glaziers is a good shop, BUT they are pricey! I would go to a cameras west or a Kits camera, they give some killer deals. I bought my D200 from Cameras west and the y gave me a bunch of stuff with it.

Indeed and being able to rent stuff is cool too so if you wanna try somthing out rent it and go back and return it if you dont like it or buy a brand new one of whatever you rented if you like it!

Good Point! Look into a D50 by nikon they aint bad for a "midrange" camera

Yep and i think you get a lense with it too but cant remember and too lazy to look it up hehehe, but basically any electronics store has that camera
