YAK!!
I noticed that MB had recently vanished from the shelf at Tower. I just figured they were late getting the issue out. With a commie like Zap at the helm...

 Dirt Rag Knows where to hit all the other mags.! I like the unbiased reviews and downhome stories they publish. Dirt Rag has a way of keeping it real and remembering "the mountain biker" rather than selling out to the man (big advertisers):blah:

The UK rags are the best! The write well, have great layouts, are bundled and usually include cool free stuff....and maps!

...plus they say "mechs":-) That'll show them frenchies

I bought my first issue of Dirt Rag. With the review of the Surly frame tested in tons of different configurations.

I have to say I was not overly impressed. Actually I find MBA a better over all read than DR. I guess I didn't get what was so special. It seemed put together poorly and the format just didn't sit right with me...........I can't really explain it. I tried reading it from the back forward (don't ask me why but I do that) Was dissapointed. Then I read from the front to back and was left feeling I was cheated out of my money..... What was I missing?

I don't see myself picking up another one on a whim unless they have reviewed something I am interested in 'and' NOTHING ELSE is available.

It just seemed thrown together. I am sure people worked hard on it but the product just didn't win me over in the least.

I must just be uncool. :(

I dont even buy the mags anymore. Bike mag used to get me pumped for riding but it has turned into poo in the past 2 years. All I do now is buy all the videos that come out, real people, real personalities, real riding. You cant beat that!

180 is a very good mag but lacks the funding to make it a great mag. Since they are against selling mags in places other than bike shops is really holding them back. Simply because the more issues you sell of a mag the more high priced ads in the mag, and the more bike companies that offer their products to be tested. Ads are good, not when they overpower the mag, but the right balance can be good.
Very true, by that rationale 180 will become an awesome mag if it just got some more support. The guys here in Santa Cruz from 180 are really cool and hardworking, they deserve more support!

Dirt Rag is another sweet rag...

I enjoy Bike, but I have noticed it is getting thinner and thinner over the years. The article are starting to lose.

My fav would be Dirt (uk) covers a tonne of stuff.

Flow was pretty good, not sure what is going on now. I heared half the staff left and has started another mag. Rumor.

All bike porn is good, during the winter months. They give you something to dream about.

Flow just got a new editor and it will be back soon. Decline and 26 are made by the previous staff of flow.

Megan calls me a babe.
I like Mbr uk... that mag has always nice tests. And reviews from products. Mbaction is also good. Never had the change to read Dirtrag, but i have heard it is very good, because it has no xc in it.:)

And 02bikers, a belgium magazine.I had a prescription for a long a time on that mag.

Aswell the german bikemags, like bike and Mountainbike.
Cause they are very thick, and packed with the latest news and storys. And nice test from bikes and stuff.

I usely buy them @the bookstore.

Since I'm on a tight budget, MBA is good since there are alot of ads from Jenson, PricePoint, Superblow etc. As far as actual reading, I'll pick up Dirt Rag every now and again.

My all time fav is Mountain Bike Rider, a UK mag, but it's getting hard to find at the local Borders. I thought it was monthly, but it's been two months since the last issue.

They do a great job of comparing several products head to head in each issue, no just one product on its own.
