Hi. Is there a big difference between the two XTR BB's -- the M950 and the M952? I realize one uses cartridge bearings and the other doesn't, but will I go wrong using either? Thanks!

Generally, no. The lengths are the same. There is a school of thought that says the M950 needle bearing model is stiffer because the axle diameter is larger, but I think only the heaviest riders would notice it and they should probably be on Profiles anyway...
The M950 needs occasional re-greasing. the M952 is a throw-away. I've heard Shimano is discontinuing the M950 this year.
