hey guys, I haven't moutain biked in a while but last time I went up to the santa monica mountains to ride the kenter whoops, it was closed. There was a completly new gate, a chain-link fence, that restricted access to the trail. Is this still the case? or is there another way in?

They are gone. Go hit Sullivan Canyon and Westridge. They are still open.

I just looked up that trail, sounds pretty good but it doesn't look like there's much downhill from the pictures. Is there?

there should be. you can back-door that trail from the fireroad network. i have never done it, so i cannot give you specificis on how.

sullivan is a great ride. you gotta climb up and then bomb back down. not very dh, but nice and flowy single track. looks like ya gotta hump it out to simi or 'tucky for the dh fix.
