The numbers and weight are a little dated now- but they've been getting cheaper and cheaper until the point that they are $400 and they still sit on shelves.
I'm not sure I've ever seen one in the wild. I do remember people being insanely stoked on them 4 or 5 years ago when Landon from TonicFab was working on them though. I'm sure MountainCycle going out of business for a while helped...

A friend of mine had a couple, pre-pros and production bikes. If I remember right they had a really steep seat tube so the tt# isn't really comparable to some of the other frames with a 68 degree seat tube. It didn't feel that short to pedal around on.

I've ridden one. It's a decent little freeride bike, well suited to a smaller person. The one I rode was a size small frame, so it felt very small to me. The chainstays seemed really bulky too, but for the price you can get them, they are a great deal....
I'd quite like to see one built up with a short fork and a couple of gears, kind of thing that can throw down on a ds track or some jumps. Should be quite easy to sort out the steep geo with an angleset in the 1.5" head tube, but the small does look super small

yeah at first i was thinking that could be the explanation, but the Transition Double has a 73 degree seat tube and this one is 74. not sure 1 degree can make a whole 2 inches of top tube difference. and that's the shorter Double.
maybe it's just a mistake on the website ?
i agree the bike does look cool. .....

I hear ya, honestly I didn't really look at the numbers I was just going by what I remembered about the bike and I remember that it was set up so the rear tire wouldn't hit the seat with the suspension compressed. Thats why the st was so steep, but I'm not sure the exact numbers and it didn't feel short to me. I guess I'm just saying that the bike didn't feel as short as the numbers leed you to believe.
