Why no chic teams in TdF?

I think it'd be nice to see some hot women in tight clothes moving fast :D
Hell, I haven't watched so much TV as I have when the Tour is on. Besides a little ERA, I want to see some smokin' roadie chics rip, especially in the cool air of the high Alps climbs :D

You really think they could keep up at such an elite level?

I sure as hell don't.

The fastest chicks can never keep up with the fastest guys either running or on a bike.

Pfff... friggin' technicalities. I just want to see chics who rip go off.
Anyone know if the chic TdF or Giro will be air'd (OLN or another channel) or it's just a side bar to the whole of TdF/Giro?

Edit: and no N8, no Cheryl Crow, not my cup of tea.

No, nobody carries coverage of the big female stage races. Shoot, they BARELY show the men's races!

Humm.. I think it's time to keep a sharper eye out on cycling.tv They're looping thru the Tour of Romandie and the Cape Epic mtn stage race right now.
Hey Heidi, are you buds w/ Katherine Zinbranen (spelling?), another Dean rider. She's based out of here. If you do and you see her at races, say hey for me, (from Paul the Geek).

When I mentioned cyclingtv last week Skookum called me a spammer! I loved the video on Cape Epic - I would like to do that race.

She isn't racing for DEAN this year, but I met her a couple times last year at races.

No. 13th, 2 hours behind the leader, and there is probably less difference between men and women running than biking.

VO2 max is the most important measurement for road biking (yeah, LT ans weight are important too). Pro men have a vo2 max of 70-90, pro woman 50-70, and the guys at the TDF are at the very top of the pro men's level. Even moderate recreational male riders can have 50+ VO2 max.

The girl Giro is a 10 day stage race which ended on July 10th. I read stage updates on cyclingnews. Cyclingnews also had cool pictures of the race. I do not know if this event was televised even in europe...

My bad, I stand corrected. I really should have been more specific, I was thinking of past years where Ann Trason has finished pretty hight.

I'll take your word for it on the V02 max, that aspect of fitness is beyond me.
