Of course it will. A solid (bolt on) axle will fit in any QR dropouts.

The P1 comes with a solid axle and it's the exact same frame. Your LBS is full of it, or they didn't understand what you were asking.

The Hadley hub with 10mm thru axle is a good choice for bikes like that. It has a one-key release axle and is very burly.
