will I save any $$$ by building my own wheels or do you save just as much money by purchasing the pre-build wheels from some place like speedgoat?

I'll be building up a set of mavic 321's and a set of 317's.

Also, where do you get the best prices on wheelsets, rims, hubs, etc?

if you can build a good wheel right off the bat.

I would suggest buying wheels from
www.unrealcycles.com
but try and build your own slowly until you can build a good strong wheel.

if you build wheels that don't hold up and you destroy them easily then I wouldn't say you saved money.

i would suggest building a front wheel first and then when you got that down move on to the rear wheels.
