Well, our top male Argentinian rider (Jeremias Maio) was ~2 minutes slower than Rachel. I guess that explains it all...
[contemplates moving to Iceland to become Worlds representative...does like elves and Bjork in moderate doses...realizes no one makes 26" brake rotors and therefore survival seems unlikely...perhaps elves can help]Worlds innit? Each nation gets a set No of riders they can send... some countries are just a bit shit at DH but still send their quota of no hopers.
claudio and rob both commented on that early in the race about how most guys almost stopped in the turns compared to Mick who was maintaining all his speed in the turns and stayed in the hotseat for a long time.Crazy how so many of the top 100 guys looked like complete hacks.
I'd say Jere is the most experienced one. Pablo has a great level too, and currently has more UCI points than Jere. They are teammates running for Zenith, a local bike brand, but seems like they will be riding Pivots next season.@slimshady
isnt Pablo Seewald is your top rider?
he was practicing this race with my friend Oren Hasson.
Still better than Boost 148, which incidentally sounds like a tasty malt liquorhttp://www.grogandgruel.co.uk/grog-gifts/
+ peaty label
= another avenue for extracting cash from mountainbikers!
Still better than Boost 148,
@jackalope - I live a stones throw from the distillery that produces this:
Peaty doesn't really even know the difference between the Scottish Lowlands and Highlands so I'd be slightly wary chasing down his "chosen" brand of Whisky... The Dude drinks Stella FFS!
but profit !
Not to derail the thread, but wasn't boost148 all about having properly dished wheels? How comes Syntace had to tweak this so-called "standard" to have a dishless wheel by displacing the hub 3mm to the cassette side?
Even worst, WHY did they had to go boost if Cannondade did the same with a 135mm rear end???
Welcome to hellI honestly had no idea what "boost" or 27.5+ was before today. What the fuck?
I had to google this myself yesterday.I honestly had no idea what "boost" or 27.5+ was before today. What the fuck?
Nah, it's just a (new) way to justify their slowness...I had to google this myself yesterday.
Appearently its for people who cant ride for shit and want more grip while sacrificing the ability to negociate corners agressively.
From now on, if I am ever to mention these marvels of the modern bike industry, i shall refer to them as "granny tires" so people who actually use them know where theyre at...
Morgane CharreAdd in 3 Jr World Champs for Nico and ACC each plus 1 for Bruni and up to 27 DH World Champs plus ACC added 4 more in Dual Slalom/4x bringing it up to 31. ACC with 16 total rainbow jerseys (13 as a Senior) is a number that nobody will ever surpass. Crazy frenchmen
Sorry Charlie, but a bit off the mark.I had to google this myself yesterday.

..it's for the aspiring dentists looking to "shred the gnar".
Specialized PM's & marketing.
Yeah, that really doesnt mean jack shit, Charlie.Sorry Charlie, but a bit off the mark.
Specialized PM's & marketing raced the Whistler Enduro on 27.5+ and ripped it pretty damn good.
3rd in 30-39
7th and 10th in 40+ (haha, you guys are old)
That course is not for grannies, has aggressive corners, and all those guys are faster than you.
This size isn't needed (duh), but it's not just for the slow folks like fat bikes are....it's for the aspiring dentists looking to "shred the gnar".
Dang, it must be awesome to be you!^Top 10s in amateur enduro means nothing. I haven't been beaten by an amateur (not counting juniors) in over a decade but there's nothing stopping me from signing up for the amateur class in an enduro race to "prove" the speed of a sponsor's bike and even if I'm a couple minutes slower than my normal bike it would still be an easy win.
