Do your AD-3s have the little Speed Dial leverage adjustment?
If so, then don't buy the SD-7. If they don't have the speeddial, then the SD-7s would be a worthwhile upgrade, but only if you actually would find the adjustable leverage useful.
With the Speed Dial, you can adjust the leverage on your brakes so that they'll be stronger than they are now, but you'll end up with more lever throw and a slightly mushier feel. Or they can be adjusted to feel really firm, with less power.
Basically it would be a more adjustable system than what you have now, but if you're perfectly happy with what you have, run 'em until they break....
