The Whiteface Mountain XC Fall Classic will be a challenging, lower mountain layout with climbing and fast, fun downhill sections. Laps will be approx. 6 miles in length and will take about 45 minutes to 60 minutes per lap. The start/finish area will be at the main base lodge with some good spectator views and pit support. Food and beverages will be available onsite. Whiteface Mountain is a family friendly venue with concessions and facilities available. Dogs on leashes are welcome also. Gondola rides are available for spectacular views of the Adirondacks.
Cash Purse for each of the Pro Men and Women categories will be $500-$250-$100 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
Cash for Expert categories will be based on number of riders for top 3 places.
Sport and Beginner categories will receive merchandise from our sponsors. Great prizes to be awarded !
This is a USA Cycling Permitted Sanctioned Event - All USA Cycling and UCI Rules will be followed.
* PLEASE ENTER YOUR AGE CATEGORY BASED ON YOUR AGE ON 12/31/08, NOT YOUR CURRENT AGE.
* Entry fees have been discounted for pre-registration. Race-day registration fee will be $35.
* Experts and Pros are required to have corresponding license and must show proof at day of registration at event: USA Cycling license, Collegiate license, UCI license, or Canadian Cycling license.
*Annual and 1-day licenses available onsite. Annuals $60, under age 18 are $30. 1-day licenses are available for Sport and Beginners for $5/day.
*Special RACE AND STAY PACKAGE DEAL is available including Race Registration Fee, Hotel, and Breakfast for an additional $37. Based on double occupancy at the Swiss Acres Inn, Lake Placid, NY. Single occupancy is available at slightly higher rate $68. Contact the hotel at (800) 464-4690, (www.swissacres.com) for this special package rate !
