It's been a while since I've been there, and when I did I had the DH bike. I'll be there for a couple of days, just want a fun little XC ride, not too long, an hour or two.
Any suggestions?

I'll either be on a hardtail, or my 4" XC bike.

It's also the only trail near mammoth worth a damn.


Riding down the mammoth rock trail from old mammoth is decent but it's really short.

When I work down there, I just ride rock creek multiple days.
