After an 11 year fight with cancer my mom passed away today about 3 hours ago. I dont really know what to say, its been super hard on me but even harder on my 10 year old sister. Today has been the worst day of my life, but i will be strong and get through this. She was in the hospital for the past month and a half, and every day was full of suffering for her so as much as I feared this day would come i knew all along that she could finally at peace now. Im gonna miss her so much :(

I am so sorry to hear that. But she's in a better place now, if she was suffering. I lost a close friend to cancer a few years back. Hang in there and make sure you talk to people about how you're feeling. After a while your freshest memories of her will be the good ones, from when she was healthy. She will always be with you.

God bless you and your family Don.

Edit: Be careful dude. I got a DUI a week after my dad died after my friends finally talked me into going out for drinks, since they didn't know what else to do or say.

Don that is really rough, sorry for you and your family. We give you a lot of crap but I hope you know we're here for you buddy. I can't think of anything we might be able to do to help but, well, you know, just ask.

That is horrible Don!!! But please please please don't turn to the bottle to help ease the pain.
Thanks Mike, but please dont worry I'm not like that. I'll never drink alone or ever drink to try to make my problems go away, I'll drink for fun with people and blackout at a party, but i never will drink for the reasons mentioned above.

Ouch maing! Remember to hug your little sister everyday and be human if you need to let out. Help each other. It'll ease the pain for both of you. Good luck. ~> sending good vibes your way, for you and your family ~>

Very sorry to hear that and I feel your pain.

I lost my own mother suddenly due to illness. I never got a chance to say goodbye. It does get better over time, keep your sister close and don't be afraid to talk about it. Remember better times and she will always be with you both.

Peace.

Sorry to hear about your Mom.
After watching my father fight a similar battle, it was bittersweet watching him go.
Let the grieving flow; it will never fill the hole but will temper the pain.
Watch out for your sis.

Shut up and ride...
My family will keep you and your family in prayer. Many who know me here know my ex-wife battled cancer. Ironically, it was the drugs and drinking that did her in. The point is that you are not alone.

There are truly no words rigjt now that I could say to ease you're pain, but rest assured, you're mom truly is no longer suffering, and actually laments your sadness.

If there is anything I can do, please feel free to ask. Again, our prayers are with you.

Ralph, Sandy and family
