How is everybody today?

I had a great weekend! Friday night we went up to Woodstock to see Mike Doughty (formally of Soul Coughing) then after the showed we rushed home to catch a local band we enjoy. We ended up closing the bar down and staying up till 6am. That was the first time in a while I did that.

Saturday was spent recovering and Sunday morning we met Beth and Rob for brunch which was super awesome!!!

Anyway hope ya all have a great day.

had an ok weekend. Friday night and saturday pretty much sucked, but Sunday I met up with douglas for a ride, which totally rocked! Felt really good to be back out on my bike - burned off a lot of stress, which I needed to do.

'morning stosh.

Was fairly productive this weekend. Sent off almost 300 pictures to be printed @ Snapfish for Jenn to make a scrapbook with. Took care of some chores... Went to my office holiday party last night which wasn't bad.

Looking forward to Jenn's office party on Friday - it's supposed to be quite the big bash, lots of drunken fun :D

Morning!

All moved out again. :mumble:
The guy tried to play all friendly when I rolled up. I wasn't buying it.

Got 6 more inches of snow on sat.

Didn't ride, didn't ski. Bla.:dead:

Mornin'

Wife had me steppin' and fetchin' this weekend. I managed to get out to our club-sponsored workday on Sat. to help with some trailwork for a few hours, but as soon as I got home, a list ten miles long of "honey-do's" was presented to me with great satisfaction---and if I do say so myself, a slight bit of smugness. We're having a Christmas party on Sat., so I had to make up and print out invitations and addresses, get the Christmas tree set-up, and clean out "the closet." Now....I'm sure every one of you out there in RidemonkeyLand has a closet or storage room or whatever that you just throw stuff into and try really hard to forget about it......we have "the closet." I'm pretty sure someone went into that thing during a party back in '01 and never was seen again. There were things that came out of that little room that I had NO idea I even had. The upshot was, that we managed to find some seriously old porn tapes that I could have sworn I returned to the rental store.........really, I swear they're for my figure drawing class....

We have an interesting morning......supposedly there has been some interest from another truss company out of Georgia in purchasing the company I work for. They're supposed to be here in an hour to tour the facility. I'm not sure what that means, but I've got everyone hoppin' around this morning to make us look good. Anyone ever been part of a small businnes that has been purchased? What happen to you? Still have your job there?

I'm almost done shopping. Waiting for a couple more packages to arrive for Jenn, and I need to buy something for my stepmom. I think I've got everyone else covered.

woke up this morning unemployed.

That's why the career change....I am no longer going to pump CAD!

I'm looking for a job as a paralegal, and then law school in like 2 1/2 years. By the time I'm 45, I shall be an attorney. :thumb:

Morning Stosh & Monkeys

Had a good weekend, I have been fighting off a bit of a cold all weekend so I haven't been hitting the trainer.

We took the little guy out for his first outing to Target for a family photo.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning- had an incredible ride yesterday. Did 17+ miles of highly technical (for me ) riding. Pulled off alot of climbs and drops that I have never attempted before out on Trail 100, even made it through the majority of the Cheese Grater. My whole upper body aches today so it must have done some good. Ready to go again! :D

'Morning! We had a nice weekend....went skiing Saturday and the conditions were great. We only skied half a day. The lift lines were unbearable (record crowds at Mt Snow).

Here's MBC. :)

Looks like fun. Skiing on Friday was OK, no lines but things were super icy. After using a friends pair of Crossmax's last weekend I realized how bad my 15 year old skis are.

Better equipment makes a big difference IMO. I am on new boots and they have helped big time (I'm not the strongest skier in the world). MBC has also "given me permission" to buy new skis at the end of this season ('05 closeouts). WOO HOO! The skis I'm on now are about seven years old, but have gotten a lot of use.

The skis and boots I have now were the cheapest models available circa 1989.:dead:

It's time to upgrade. :D
It's hard for me to justify the purchase when I only plan on skiing a icy hill with just 500 ft of vert. I could justify it by planning some trips out west but then things will get really really expensive.

I'm having a hard time getting started today. We went to the big family Christmas party this weekend. It is exhausting talking to all your relatives that only ever see once a year. I just want to go home and go back to bed.

It seems as though winter has set in for good now. Ice and slush and mud makes for poor riding conditions. Hopefully it will get a little colder so the trails will freeze up.

Seasonal affective depression anyone?

Hey Kids,

I had a great weekend! Saturday we went snowboarding in the morning in BLUEBIRD conditions, then we went xc skiing in the afternoon. Yesterday we went snowshoeing for about 5 miles and cut down our own Christmas tree in the forest. Great times. Here are some pics.

Here are some views from the top of Mt. Bachelor:

Me halfway down from the summit of the mtn at 9k feet.

Me cutting down our tree!

The drag/carry begins.

It's about 10' tall...we'll decorate it tonight. Can't wait!

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Morning monkeys! Had a nice weekend. Got the nursery all set up and now we're working on a cute bookshelf to put her books and some other things on. Got all of my Christmas cards and Shower thank you notes mailed on Friday during the snowstorm and managed to get my gifts wrapped (I still have a couple to do). It's weird because I feel SO behind this year...generally my tree is up (and it is) and all of the wrapped gifts are under it the first weekend of December. Oh well, we're just about done.

This week is my hell week...8 concerts over the course of 4 days (beginning today) and then I am done. My jazz band rehearsal went well this morning so hopefully that's a good sign. Now I am off to teach some lessons and then concert for the school kids. Tonight I have yet another concert so that will be fun. Other than that, not too much else is going on :D

Morning!:dead:

Weekend was good, but I'm so sore and tired. DJ lesson on Satuday and did a hard XC ride before the Seahawks game Sunday morning.

Work sucks....I'm in charge of the most toxic person ever. I can't even deal with her anymore. She does good work, but fights with everyone. I have to talk to her almost every week about her attidude. Arrgg....I need a vacation:mumble:

Good afternoon. Just got back from doing a story on a really interesting swimmer/coach who literally started his own teaching method that has taken off around the world. He's also a mountain biker :D

Had a great weekend with Rob and even got to see Stosh and Aubrey which was awesome.

Well you may or may not know that most restaurants that serve brunch simultaneously serve breakfast !!

That was a minor detail she neglected to inform me of, so quit trying to make excuses for her!!

Stosh, how was Mike D? I like the new disc and missed him when he was in SF.

I had a quality weekend of riding and holiday parties, did some stupid rigid singlespeed action in Marin on Saturday, fun party Sat night, then some great full squish riding in Santa Cruz yesterday followed by a proper beer and BBQ grub-down...and now it is Monday...

He was really good. He put on a good show and they would do a little jamming with each song but not so much that you got bored of it.
It was in a little bar in Woodstock so there was probably only 150 people there. We were actually able to sit at the bar and see/hear him which was totally awesome.
He draws a cool crowd so that was a plus as well.
Did you get his version of The Gambler from iTunes?
