How do you remove the orange bushings in the shock eyelets? Can i use an easy out as used in removing mounting hardware?

Typically you use a bushing removal tool for that, in an emergency a socket of the correct size can be used to push. But that is risky.

Do not use an easy out!

If the DU Bushings are shot then the reducers will just fall out or be easy to remove by hand. The correct way to remove and install DU Bushings is with a tool not a socket. Using the socket method might yield you short term sucess but will provide you with moments of utter frustration when the DU Bushing folds in on itself. You can purchase one of my Bushing Tools and DU Bushings.

Here are some pictures of my bushing tools and a picture of what happens to a DU Bushing using the socket method.

If you're taking out bushings to replace them, then you don't need to worry about them warping a bit. If you can't afford or get a bushing tool, the socket works well if it's the right size. Also, a vice helps either way.

Very nice tool but if someone mangles a DU busing like you say using a socket they really are hamfisted.

I like DIY as much as the next guy, but just buy the freakin tool! Compared to the cost of your FS bike, the tool is nothing. Sockets are a pain in the neck even if you have a vise.

I haven't had an issue with teh hundreds of Du bushes that I've done with sockets. And I've never folded a DU bush up either. I must be doing it wrong
