The 5th Annual Whiteface 5K DH will be on Sunday September 12, 2010. Also on the USAC National Calendar.

We are thinking about having a Super D on Saturday September 11. If you want us to have a Super D race just let us know. Here's a poll I started a while back to see if there was interest in a Super D race:http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=226273&highlight=whiteface

Whiteface will once again have a mini dh, mini dual slalom and (new this year) a mini Super D on every Thursday in July and August. These mini race series are BIG fun, very chill & super inexpensive to race. These mini race series will each be 3 races & are designed to get locals and others more into gravity racing.

All 10 (maybe 11) of our races will be USAC sanctioned.

A big thanks to Lazlo from Plattekill to work with us to avoid any conflicting race dates. We hope every venue breaks attendance records!

We will design & build a Dual Slalom course similar to last years (the one used for the Gravity East DS race). Short but fun. It will be right out in front of the gondola/main lodge, so you can just walk to the start. Cost will be minimal. Just 5 or 10 bucks to race.
These races will be timed by us, limited to 50 racers and start at 2:30 pm.
The 1st ds race will be on July 8, 2nd ds race on July 29 and the series final on August 19.
Prizes and medals at the awards ceremony immediately after the series final.

Last year we started these too early at 1:00 pm. This way you can race in the ds and have plenty of time for our 4:00 pm dh runs!

My first time @ bromont was the cc in 07, it was on the front side still (not the wc course). it was sick track. it was a super awesome and long course. felt like 2 us open tracks stacked on top of each other. loads of people were screaming in french on the way down.

There are two more Canada Cups for a total of four in 2010, the other two will be out West though in BC at Panorama and Sun Peaks.

the new site is horrible (some how just as much as the last) and i can't find the english button, but from what i can tell the completed schedules should be there. for now it's listed on the home page as a link to a PDF about half way down.

Nice, I just wish I didn't have to chose between Platty and Blue this season!

I hope the GES chimes in soon with the 2010 list of venues and dates.

Maybe some of the Diablo regulars can chime in here but is Diablo hosting a race series in 2010? No updates or mention of it on the site.

Legit DH racing is making its way down south again in 2010.

Hawksnest Resort near Boone, NC is having 3 races this year. Expect 3 different tracks and lift access.

June 5-6

August 21-22

October 30-31

There are tentative plans for weekend public access as well...I will tell more when I have concrete information.

ummm I'm gonna name it off the top of my head right now and call it The High Country Cup.

We're trying to make this a sick southeast destination that will be a worthwhile roadtrip option for mid-atlantic and NE peeps as well. The high country of NC has some of the burliest mountains in the east and one of them is soon to be covered in nasty DH trails.

The southeast is really coming into its own. I agree with mueller that the high country has some of the greatest terrain on the eastcoast and I am excited to see the bike culture continuing to develop there

I hope mt snow doesn't do a series. Instead they should have a GES round at Mt Snow and another at Attitash. Focus on two quality events instead of six ok races. Looks like there is little room for another series anyway.
