The whole single pivot vs vpp idea is silly. It all depends on the leverage curve.

Yeah, I had heard the db worked the best but, that was before the rc4 so, now it's hard to say.
Right now I have a dx 5.0 that was pushed. It did feel a bit better but, not what I thought it would be. I don't like the idea of my shock being filled with nitrogen because I can't adjust it unless I empty it and fill it back up with air.

for most bikes, ccdb > rc4. I have a Furax, and the db is pretty much the bees knees on it

But if the 224 really is degressive, I would think about another damper for it.
In my (progressive) Commencal Supreme DH, the bottom out resistance feels just perfect. I would hate having to run more high speed compression because of an less progressive rear end...
