I posted this on toshi´s wall... i´ll repost here in hopes somebody can chip in a good idea...

so, i´ll get to play tug of war at 16,000ft asl with a rental top of the line hilux and the newly launched 5-cyl Mazda BT-50. (and i´ll get paid for that!); among other top gear-esque tests (braking distance, 400ft drag race on dirt, 20mph-40mph drag, estability/traction control and downhill assistance.... any suggestions for something that could make it viral?
my new gig is head of after-sales for mazda. we are targeting corporate (mining) clients... who are notorious gearheads, with strong technical backgrounds.
most people I work, (specially the sales managers) come from non-automotive/technical backgrounds; and as such, have not really been able to comunicate in gearhead terms with our target market.

i´ve approached a few ad companies... but the people I´ve spoke to aren´t really gearheads.... so the concepts they have pitched to me are too artsy for my taste.

this will be professionally filmed (by a gearhead friend of mine who happens to own a media company) in order to make a 3 minute short for the internet, and a 8 minute clip for corporate (mining) clients.

my budget is limited (so, detonating a car for video´s sake is out of the question), but a clutch or something like that could be acceptable.

ideas?

If you can muster enough redneck, this type of full-retard is the defacto 'Merkin "my truck beats your truck" viral format.

NSFW (language, mute the idiots lest you'll lose faith in humanity)

Jump them both over a 789C. see which holds up better.

Drag some old heavy hauler tires around. See who can haul more.

Load the trucks with concentrate from the mill.

EDIT:

Load the trucks with concentrate from the mill with a 789C.

in a single wide, cooking meth...
In the same spirit as the Tundra towing the space shuttle, have the BT-50 towing a massive piece of mining equipment. Even if its slow and on flat ground, it would be cool to pull one of the monster quarry dump trucks or something. Maybe even pretend to have it get stuck, then have the BT come to the rescue.

put it in the back of a huge dump truck and jump it out. that will be a good entrance. then try to back flip it.

Boobs too. I agree with boobs.
