Syadasti found these custom stainless steel, insulated growlers. The guys making these will do a growler with the Ridemonkey logo for $29 each, plus shipping - minimum order of 12. There's a $50 setup fee, which makes it about $4 each if we do the minimum order, or less if we get more.

Final total is likely around ~$40 each, maybe a little less if we get enough people interested.

I'm thinking stainless steel plus the monkey head on it.

Anyone interested?

So want. Can't justify.
Unfortunately I'm in exactly the same place. For as cool as they are, I already have a (non-insulated) steel growler, and ~4-5 normal glass ones. *And* the bartenders at our local brewery/taproom whine like little bitches when you try to get these filled. There are various laws about sealing the container, and they were utterly dumbfounded when I walked in with a steel growler and a ziptie to seal it.

So......... I guess put me down as a "maybe" for now. :)

I have a pile of glass growlers including a a really sweet handmade ceramic one from Portland Growler Company but this'll be good for traveling and not getting smashed. Stoney, do it. You can has justification. Blame it on me, like you did with the crabon bike purchase. :D

I was given one of the Portland Growlers for my birthday. It's a cool piece of ceramic. It doesn't get much use, unfortunately.

A six pack of 12oz bottles is a total of 72 ounces, and it's hard to find one for more than $10, which comes out to about 14 cents per ounce. The growler is 64 oz and usually costs $12 to fill, for about 19 cents per ounce. The growler will also only keep for about a week, and needs to be finished off in less than a day. So every now and then I'll get one, but it's mostly for the experience, or the novelty of getting something that's only available on tap from one of the local places.

That's 11 so far, almost at the minimum. I really can't count the "maybes" because I'm not going to stock these or anything. We can let this run for a while longer to see if any maybe people come around as well as waiting for new takers.

Yeah let it run at least a couple more days, being it is the weekend... I figure I'll hear back from my homies in the next day or so and maybe add to that list.

Starsan is pretty weak for that IMO (yes I have starsan and it's my preferred "no rinse" steriliser).
You don't use the diluted 1 oz for 5 gallons in this application and you still have to let it soak for at least a day...
