i'd love some info on the 4x scene! just moved to texas from colorado where i raced 4x & some DH in the mtn states cup. sigh....all kinds of roadies here...roadies everywhere!! where are the real, soul, mtb riders??
i'm on a freeride bike - a petite cannondale prophet... its beefy enough for big hits & light enough to jump for mtn cross too. for being the smallest size they offer, its still a little big for me (5'3", 120lbs). standover is OK, could be better.
i'm riding the rockshox pike u-turn. the adjustable travel from 140-95mm makes it a good fork for all kinds of riding...its cushy enuff for the big hits & can be turned down for jumping too. not too shabby.
i just got a cannondale prophet - a beauty for freeriding sessions! the small fits my 5'3" self pretty well & isn't too much of a beast for pedaling uphill (also comes in petite).
yup, a true freeride bike is overkill for us little people .
definitely the terry firefly! i also have the terry butterfly, but the dragonfly is much nicer & will last longer. not as cushy as the butterfly though...so it depends on the kind of riding you do!
