Alright, I'll probably just hold off and find something used. I was pushing to get it done in the next couple weeks. Anyone ridden a Pike DJ as a trail fork and can it be lowered to 120mm.
I used BikeFlights.com to ship mine from Florida to California over the summer. They use FedEx but at half the price. In a full size bike box, fully insured ($5000), was under $100 one way. They even held it a couple days at the FedEx location until I picked it up. It just had to be an office...
Yep. I was looking at a 2011 with 30,000 miles yesterday and they wouldn't drop below $25k. Ill buy myself a 2017 for my retirement gift this time next year.
Awesome. Will be a large part of my retirement but most likely in a Tacoma. Memories of my childhood in the Everglades and many other Florida woods but my dad had a 60's Dodge Van.
I'm in south Fl and have a Specialized Enduro Sx (4 inches of travel) that I use for everything but it's mainly my trail bike. It's more of a slopestyle bike with 26" wheels and I love it. You might want to look at the Transition Scout since the market is going to 27.5. The geometry looks spot...
I've been told you camp in the forest (Mine Rd) off 219 in Slaty Fork. Ive ridden up there but stayed at the Elk River Farmhouse, $50 night but I prefer a bed at the top for $65-70 a night. The Farmhouse has an excellent homemade breakfast. They also would know is you could camp off Mine Rd...
It's a Revelation with a Sektor U-turn coil installed. For trail riding and descending 130-140mm. DJs and flow tracks 100-120mm. The bike is really fun. TT is a little shorter than my 2010 and the shock tune is a big improvement also. Love these bikes. been riding one since 06. Short travel, do...
He was worried about it falling on his garage during a ice storm. He dropped it the next day with my brother. He's definitly old school. It snowed pretty good in Ga. this year and my mom sent me a video of him while it was snowing. He was out there picking up fallen branches. Love him, always...
Saw this yesterday on FB. Like the year round option and being able to spend more time in NC. Something like Highlands would be perfect. Thought of 26West when I saw the location.
Saw him 26-27 years ago at Stone Edge Skate Park in Daytona for a contest. He was messing with the spectators, putting on his knee braces. He could literally move his lower leg 1-2 inches forward from his knee. Proceeded to win the contest by a wide margin. The guy is incredible. Pushed BMX to...
I was gonna get the upgrade orginally and lower it to 160mm but I've never used their stuff. I run RS stuff on my other bike so just decided on the Pike. Can't speak much for a review because I only ride it twice on some basic pedally trails. The basic rebound damper felt a little harsh even at...
Best I can do. That's with the stock 2.3 tire. I don't have it anymore, traded it out for a Pike but there was no issues with that size. Sorry, if it doesn't help.
