How do you fit a chainguide on a STP?
Looking at this

it seems you need that three little bolt holes on your frame around the BB, that the
STP does not have.
have a look at this morewood frame at the BB about the bolt holes I am talking...
I am a part time photographer, hence the photo quality ;)
Took the bike to the local north shore and jump spot, I LOVE IT! Will take a little getting used to but everything on the bike just feels perfect almost.
Have a Giant Trance 1 for trials and riding around, the stp will be my new play bike.
Cannot wait to use it a little, quite excited to ride a hardtail and platforms again.
Want to built up a single speed dj/freeride/street bike that can handle the occasional drops from north shore bridges.
I want to go for the STP, but it's just soooooooo hard to get here, and it's just outside my price range.
How good is the GT chucker or ruckus frames? Or the Mongoose...
mmmmm.......decisions, decisions, thinking a STP will make me abetter rider, platforms, HT, 100mm upfront etc. will make me smoother but then, would it make such a difference on these trails or should I just ride Trance, but then...a crash that says breaks my rear deraillear might put me out...
Duel crown hey. Anyone know what's the max travel fork you can setup on a STP before the headtube stresses becomes to much?
I have a old manitou minute 1 130mm fork lying around.
Been riding alot of the local "North Shore/freeride/AM/whatever" trails lately, and doing some small drops, and jumps etc. on my Giant Trance, the bike handles it all perfectly, but....it's getting a little abused, and I want to use it in enduro races etc. So was thinking get a STP as a "play"...
