I think all of these were shot with a 40D and my 70-200 f/2.8. I have an XTi, but usually leave it with a UWA on it. Two bodies is nice...I'm not changing lenses all the time!!!
I bought a used pair of Hayes 9's, upgrading from Hayes mechanical brakes. I replaced the pads on the rear and the fronts still look pretty good. I like the feel of the hydraulics so far, but I am a little surprised they don't grab more. I'm wondering if they need to be bleed.

Looks pretty good, but I agree that it is merely an answer to Nikon's new cameras. I like that they have tried to improve the Live View and the Auto ISO. Those are both features on the 40D that have potential, but had room for improvement.
I was in the same boat with a Dart 2. It was horrible! I found a Marzocchi All Mountain 2 for under $300. It was a 2006 model. I went from 100mm of travel with the Dart to 130mm with a travel adjust switch in the AM 2.
It is unbelievable what a difference it makes.
Just got registered and recently took up riding again after a 12 year hiatus. I'm 36, married w/ two kids and live in Vacaville, CA. Look forward to getting up to speed (pun intended) with all that I have missed in the last dozen years.
