First day back in my office. Ya know, I don't care if anyone uses my office while I'm out, but for fucks sakes, at least leave my desk how ya found it. Don't leave the monitors looking like someone had a boxing match on the table.
ANYWAYS, cold as balls this morning. I guess I should think about putting the winter tires on this weekend.
Blood panel shows slightly elevated cholesterol numbers. Guessing my doctor will tell me to lose a few lbs, exercise more, and eat better. Can't say I disagree with any of those assessments.
Was gonna go into the office today, but why bother driving all the way in just to sit in virtual meetings for 7.5 hours.
Happy to report that I was a lazy bastard this morning and slept in, with the dog huddled up next to me.babs is still out running 47 miles before breakfast. the rest of us just lazy...
Still tired from my crash as my body working hard healing. Missing some nice riding weather but just happy I got out of this one with only bruises. Spending some quality time with the youngest son the rest of the day as we are home alone together.
shit night sleep. was up from 3:30 to 5:30? at least I got back to sleep. espresso-ing it nao. booked a couple of hours off this morning and will be riding with a buddy at the DH hill. good test of my tire install from last night.

Woke up and dumped wads of snot into a tissue. That felt nice. Kids to school then I've got a date with a steam room.
Fully serviced fork with a Grip X2 damper upgrade is supposed to show up today. Might have enough time to chuck it on the bike and get it out for a shakedown but if not today, then tomorrow. On Saturday I put the bike in a travel bag and pack my gear, on Sunday I leave for TranSierra Norte in beautiful Oaxaca, MX.

Here. Currently in TX visiting my parents. We went to a neighborhood concert last night. Haley asked a bunch of boys if she could play football with them, to which they replied "A girl playing football?" and laughed. She got the ball off the ground a little bit later and fired a missile at the one who made the stupid comment. A couple of them laughed because he didn't catch it. It was fucking awesome to watch.
Also just found out that my grandpa has pneumonia and if he makes it through the night, he will be put onto antibiotics. So we're waiting on that now.

I feel like such a girl. I got a pair of shoes coming today and I'm all giddy. I'm not a sneaker head by any means, but I do like a nice pair of kicks. These were also half off retail (replicas) and real ones sell for $600 a pair and that's just silly.

Well at least today's snowfall that's likely to close down biking in the high country until next year may help knock back the Meridian fire which is threatening my happy place Cliff Lake.
