Yesterday was just a shit day for me. I had a good night sleep and made a decision this will be an amazing day. So far its working out.

Hopefully picking up my mtb later and planning a good gym workout. Also meeting with a former member at my team for a casual chat about product management.

Even better I now get to plan some goodies for RMSS. Time to get into the Christmas Spirit!

Impatiently waiting for my tires to ship. Thinking about ordering a smaller inner chainring because I am slow and bad. I need a lower gear for the ungravel bike though I really like the 36-46 for general derping.

Didn't take much advantage of cyber monday- had been hoping for a deal on USWE gear but their sale sucked so I passed. Headed to work in a few I suppose.

Should be getting the cast removed from my arm today. Pretty stoked to be able to use my right hand again, for many activities. It also feels like my arm hair is twisted into knots, so that will be one truly satisfying itch to relieve.

Cold out, again.

Just had a super neat call. Trying to take advantage of all the Biden money I can. I’m working on getting funded to have biochar applied to 60 acres. Should help with moisture and nutrient holding capacity. Only problem is it’s really fucking expensive, found a program where good ol gubment pays for 80%

I have a buddy here that's basically creating biochar as part of his graduate degree. At least, that's what I think he's doing, if I recall the conversation correctly. I know he's burning a bunch of stuff, and it's supposed to be real good for the environment. yeah yeah cool story bro.

My thumb got broke'd, while crossing a gravel path on the bike a few weeks ago. :busted: :banghead:

They put a cast that goes halfway to my elbow on it...overkill.
it's standard to immobilize one joint up and below. so le wrist is locked.

/me pedaled in. stupid semi-truck driver decided to turn on red across the bike path-crosswalk (one of my few potentially car-exposed places on my route) despite ample signage instructing him not to. life is frustrating in that there's no recourse for this. no one is going to enforce it and the potential consequences are all on the side of the non-motorized traffic.

Hey man! I ran six miles on the high school track before work and I was surprised the surface wasn't more slippery than it was. Some frost, but didn't affect my footing. I'll hop on the KICKR after work and watch the new Star Wars series.

The puppy has her first day of doggie daycare today after getting all of her required shots. She needs the energy outlet. When we were finally able to get daycare for our older dog, it was a game changer...she was calmer in the house and slept better. Hopefully the new dog will have the same results. Once she is a little older and we can start taking her on runs, that will help too.

Glad I brought my winter jacket to Atlanta. It’s supposed to get down to 23 free dumbs this week.

New shoulder exercises, targeting difficult areas for gains in strength and stability. All cable, Smith machine. Three movements per rep. Feel like a spring chicken after two days.

Gawd damn it! Bio char is really fucking expensive because the industry is being dragged around by numbskulls.

Fuckin bio char con artists takin that government hand out. Lol

*sorry can't help it. Bio char is funny stuff.

I've been freakin out over these swollen lymph nodes in my neck but the doctor told me its just a really sore neck muscle. Maybe its all the trail work I've been doing. My wife says I should go to yoga. Yoga? It sounds nice but for whatever reason I can't get off the couch for yoga classes. Instead I stuck the foam roller on the back of the couch so I can roll out my neck while vegging the fuck out.

What is really needed is a nice bicycle ride. I still haven't test driven the new squishy steed. Instead of riding it yesterday I took it to the LBS and paraded it around and wasted all their time I possibly could.

Do you know what inhabits Yoga Studios ? For fucks sake man, they have their own special pants. Glorious.

Anyway, I’m seriously considering going to yoga classes after the holidays. Apparently long distance hiking is hard on one’s knees, hips, and feet. Who knew ?
