Beautiful morning. Sitting on the deck enjoying my coffee and some lower humidity for a change. Gonna do a little work this morning then ride. Buddy and me got a ride planned tomorrow for a new to me trail. Should be killer.

I hope for the best, for everyone in the Northwest Territories. The firemap up there basically looks like the whole place is lit up.

This is what one of the fires looks like from Kelowna, looking across the lake - the fire has jumped the lake now and is on the other side of town :fie: :fie: :fie: :fie: :fie:

Definitely did not have "Category 4 hurricane headed toward San Diego" on my 2023 bingo card... :disgust:
Is it bad that I kind of wish my parents were still in CA? Because then we could hear their arguments about how this is totally normal and not something that could have been caused by climatic change.

Baby Aya woke up in the middle of the night and came for some snuggles with me. but then she went back to sleep and slept in a tremendous amount, two hours past her green light clock. thankfully my schedule allows for this today.

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Morning. Last day of summer music camp. Was on our school interview committee yesterday and we had 1 candidate not show up (1 got a job and messaged us and 2 actually came). I can't even imagine not showing up or contacting a potential employer. Maybe a ride tonight if it doesn't rain anymore today.

Morning Monkeys.

FTS Friday is in full swing. I have a very busy weekend trying to finish up the truck. Last of the parts SHOULD be here today, so that's good. As much as I hate to admit it, I need to clean the garage. There are a few things I KNOW I have in there somewhere and finding stuff is a challenge. Not sure if I want to wait until everything else is done, or do it now before I get started.

But apparently the bolts for my sink are alien and nobody including the manufacturer seem to know the size. So either I take the sink to Ace or I find the bag of hardware that's somewhere safe.

I suspect that deciding on cleaning the garage is just a defense-mechanism. In that it gives you a great excuse for not finishing the truck. …at least that’s how my brain works…

Rained out, so went to a complimentary wine tasting thing in Dunham.

Sun is out so now need to decide if we do 3 (muddy greasy, would be fun to be honest. Gf might hate it) hours at the bike park or beers and pool. Hmmm beers it might be..

My garage has always been a shit show. I've never been good at organizing my tools and workspace, plus I honestly have too much crap. As always as soon as I get rid of it, I will need it and buy another.

And the reality is the truck will never be "done", there will always be something that can be added or upgraded.

Pinhole leak in the bag, just replaced the other one a few weeks back, so naturally this one started leaking

I will say, their warranty service is pretty good, fill out the form, upload the receipt, week later new bag in hand. However if you absolutely need the bags to work to safety drive the Chip-mobile, I’d probably keep a spare on hand
