My friend who waited the 2.5 hours said that it was one of his and his wife's top culinary experiences of all time, for what that's worth. I won't be going there with kids any time soon so I must live via you guys.
For real, leave the kids at home and go to the bar. You can get the wings and other stuff there without the wait. Or at least do your waiting there. I will need to go eventually. To be honest, I've lived here for 23 years now and there are so many places I haven't checked out. One of our motivating factors into moving closer to town.

I know everyone ravs about Por Que No and I haven't been there, either.

<edit> Jen says the chicken at Country Cat is better than Screen Door. I still say the Tukey Fried Chicken was the best, but it is no more (unless I ask).

Because Portland.

Oregon Weather said:
The Portland metro area might get a brief break from cold, rainy weather this week, with a drier forecast on Wednesday when the sun could even break through in some areas.
Saw the sun today for a moment, might happen again on Wednesday.

After finishing up with two Dell Support calls, spent late morning until about 6 PM working on garage door opener installation. It's at about 90% after tearing out the old system, doing some carpentry, a lot of mechanical assembly, and most of the wiring. It is now somewhat past beer thirty.

Christmas this time was in Southwest Florida - Naples. Between the daily Happy Hours, a trip was made to outside Immokalee to Ave Maria University. This is the Oratory built upon the Campus.

University opened in 2008. This dedication was performed later - weighs over 3 Tons.

Pictures cannot contain what magnitude the entire structure offers - is open to the Public.

The elevated Balcony houses the Organ and resonance chambers. Was not able to hear the acoustics but surely are massive and are something special.

Another view - this is the largest sculpture of the Annunciation in the World. Coming from a Catholic Family had me be quite humbled, the Christmas Holiday only further enabled the emotion.

Someone I met on the Beach Christmas Day -- nah - it's the old man.

Early morning run in Bonita Springs - tide chart showed High Tide so I set out to run the length back to Naples. The Dolphin here popped out the water twice not even 15ft from me, pacing me. Was able to spend a couple minutes with the playful creature.

And even made one appearance on my return jog.

A great Holiday with Family and friends - wishing all Monkey's the same into the New Year.

great day in the woods w/ @canadmos and his buddy. they held up like champs, and have now experienced a slice of the "other" pisgah, plus mexican food after.

here he is on one of the last descents of the day (it's steeper than it looks-trust me):

and a round of big beers after:

Hiked Teton Pass today. Powder up to my armpits (but 40-50 mile hr. Winds).
Superb.
Now trying to decide between Jhmr, Targhee, or Snow King tomorrow. Should be epic, but so will be the crowds, which I just can't stand.
Decisions, decisions.
It's gonna be deep everywhere.

Thank you again for showing us the way today! The trails were challenging, humbling and tons of fun. Will definitely have to do it again! Coming down that steep stuff in the wet leaves was wild.

Beer is on me next time. :D

if only the mods could give custom avatars...
When I worked at start ups, you usually got comp lunch ($15/day at Playhaven), you can get a lot for $15 at the cart level. Playhaven was on the Morrison side of Pioneer Square. You have 3 carts on the square and 2 major pods 4 blocks on either side. There are a lot of healthy options, also gluten free, veggie and vegan if you are weird. Just in the year-ish I was at Playhaven I hit over 100 different carts just around the office, then kept tabs on what from where and had a rough ranking system. Not just fat :nerd:

Just hit the south american cart pod in SE a few weeks ago. In the last 10 years, pods have become the norm and there are some awesome pods (some really bad ones, too). You could live downtown and eat nothing but cart food on $15/day food budget. You would never have to cook again.
