Rode the singlespeed fully rigid 26-29” mullet freak mobile today. It’s a different ride that’s for sure! Very little airtime, but climbing was -dare I say it?- fun!

yes. came with the house, so bargain basement model from the flip. this was a good sale, and when i put it in the cart there was a bonus 10% off.
Induction is a game changer. I'd like to have one with air fryer. We tried to get a nice GE during pandemic. But after waiting 3 months, we bailed and got the Ikea for cheap. Already got it repaired under warranty, main board and control board. That thing will not last 20 years. :disgust1:

We got lucky and found a Cafe(GE) that was at a local warehouse. One thing I wanted was physical knobs as opposed to strictly a touch-panel. Knock on wood, but has been trouble-free for 4 years now.

I would like to do an induction on the off grid house but the amperage load is too high for solar/battery sustainability especially when using the oven or during the winter months. Going to stick with LPG for now.
there exists a pricey one with a battery acting as a buffer

ok looks like two, not even just the one

we shopped on price & features. eventually we plan on remodeling our kitchen, when the time comes i want an in-wall double oven, and a separate range.

we've got that setup and approve of the layout. never running out of room is awesome.

in wall double oven, both full size. top one does convection

induction cooktop with real range hood

yea, we went with a less expensive model for now, knowing that the kitchen will eventually be redone, but we wanted something good enough that will last, because the kitchen remodel is gonna be another 5+ years out most likely.

Holy sheet, thats a spendy "battery" for its size, 6-7 grand is a bit steep. I realize there is a stove/oven component in there but to give context, my house will be running three of these bad mamajammas https://signaturesolar.com/eg4-powerpro-14kwh-all-weather-lithium-solar-battery-wallmount/

That 280 amp hours for $3600 each and would be more than 1/3 of the whole house power supply if at 12 volts and I cant find the info on their website if its 12/24/or 48v

The stove's Four kilowatt hours is equal to 333.33 amp hours at 12 volts, or 166.67 Ah at 24 volts Which is essentially nearly the whole energy storage for the whole house build with nominal PV intake. not to mention it can only charge up to 15 amps via 110v, whereas solar is much much higher and considering recovery time would be over night on 120v it really doesnt make sense for a solar home.

I like the idea but the cost per power output isnt quite there yet when compared to LPG and the 3 months of 2.5 average daily PV output here next to your folks in the winter months

I wish we hadn't gone with the front panel controls, even with the little detent at the off position, they still get bumped on sometimes....

have not had good ge experience with our non-induction range. front right burner wiring shorted. ge repairman stated they simply did not make the correct wiring harness. said he could get us a new stove via warranty even though it had just expired. but when i tried to work with customer service/corporate i got nowhere. also the under over baking sheet drawer is fucked up and will not got back in, despite getting new rails. fuck ge.

All Jennair stuff in our house when we bought it, only a couple of years old at that point. But I wouldn't buy it again. Fridge and stove top are both full of issues.

Work absolutely did not sound like fun. Went to the racetrack for some practice instead.

….made the right choice.
