Had an employee that resigned today. She has not been right in her role and it's a perfect opportunity for me to find a better fit.

Dad from my youngest son's class died of cancer yesterday. All the families are helping cooking dinner for the family. They have 3 kids and he was a super nice guy.

I ordered some spokes, nipples and if I ordered a Sapim Spoke Tension thing I got free post, another great decision made.
I really want to buy a brake mount facing tool but the only decent one ends up at 1200AUD, the Park seems shit and the Super B one isn't rated for steel frames.

TM-1 Park Tool gets the job done. Spoke Tension will always be the sum of all parts as opposed to something exact. Compared mine once w/ someone else's and was spot on. Wahtev's tho.

Good visit to the gym last night, filling the voids in the shoulder. Smooth as iced-velvet on a baby's freshly linoleum kitchen floor. Am terrible as similes at this hour. Time to coffee.

I have a Super B copy of the TM-1 and mine is trash, so I didn't want to buy the tool I should have bought in the first place.
Annoyingly I was looking at a used Park Digital one for just over half what I paid for the Sapim, but didn't jump on it quickly enough.
So I've fucked myself over a couple of times now.

Thunderstorm has been going for a couple of hours here, thinking there will be some trees down around the place tomorrow.
Was an annoyingly hot/humid day in the shed I was working in today.

Truck recently flashed a "Service Electronic Braking system" message, which happened to coincide with a recall being issued against the electronic braking control unit. Last fall, I had an emissions related CEL, which happened to coincide with an emissions related recall. Coincidence or evidence of our lizard overlords manipulating the matrix? :tinfoil:

Of course, no parts are available to address the affected issue, so thanks for nothing, Ram.

Great are the woes of being unable to dwell within one’s own house, for the heart longeth for the comfort of familiar walls and the peace of one’s abode. These past four months have been full of trials and labors, a season of displacement and toil. Yet I lift mine eyes with hope, for a time of respite draweth nigh—vacation is but one week away, a fortnight of rest to renew the spirit. And thereafter, I shall return to mine house, to once more make it my dwelling, and to find solace in its restoration.

So I've fucked myself over a couple of times now.

Germ tube to DC to catch a Terps hoops game and some Smithsonian / International Spy Museum with the kiddo.

Leaving town on Monday of the in-ARGH-uration, so we'll have to swing by the "White" House to flip the orange one the bird...

Homemade pizza last night was the bomb. But something seems wrong with my oven light - the light bulb went out, so replaced it. As soon as we turned the oven on again, that new one went out within a minute.

Took multiple edibles last night which packed a punch, hot damn. No ragrets.

Ride night with the dudes. Holy frig its cold outside.

All caps bro. There is no place for subtlety when it comes to your tailgate.

With Ford co-branding with Harley Davidson I was always disappointed that RAM didn't go with this collabo

Morning Monkeys.

Half way on walkies my coffee kicked in. I had to cut walkies short and run to the house to avoid shitting myself. Not a pleasant start to my day, but I did make it, so there was that.

In the office again today because I got a hit the UPS store for an Amazon return. I do feel 5 pounds lighter after this morning, so I guess that's good.

The spam calls are off the charts today.

Its gotten to the point that I don't even answer phones calls anymore, unless I 100% know who is calling.

Bummer. Was that expected?
Kinda sorta. There have been a few rounds of minimal layoffs over the last 6 months. She's sort of been holding on in anticipation of getting severance. She's smrt like that. :homer:

Learned a new audio mixing technique last night. I spent most of the night experimenting with variations on the idea. Hopefully I can wrap up the track I’m working on this week with a few fancy new additions.
