I made Knorr Vegetable Dip. With a huge amount of Veggies. Peeled and cleaned atleast 100 shrimps. Cocktail sauce out of a jar and I am good. A Bottle of Gran Vouvray set aside. I have Chicken Wings and Meatballs and Sauce in reserve incase Talia burns the Roast.

Xmas day here of course. We had Peking duck and gyoza for eve, and today is fillet steak, potatoes dauphinois, green beans and a red wine jus.
Got one of the last four bottles of Cabbage tree Pinot Noir (2013) in existence to go with. Opened already to breathe.

Mimosas for breakfast already. :monkeydance:

Off to the park now for kites and rollerblade shenanigans.

@JBP it’s called resting. Have a great day everyone.

I ate a mixing bowl of vermicelli.
wife had pho. Dog did not get any.

Typically on Christmas Eve we get together with all my cousins on my dad’s side of the family, have a surprisingly competitive gift exchange and a lot of food. Not so this year. It is an odd Christmas. My wife hasn’t seen her family since (American) thanksgiving last year.

First Christmas for my wife without her dad. It was tough for her, I think it may have been her first ever not at home. I did my best to make a full meal with all the fixings, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, roast veggies, cranberries, gravy, bûche...

Frank a bottle of champagne on my own over the course of the day. Did zoom dinner with her brothers and their families. It was weird. But the kids were happy I guess.

Merry Christmas to ya'll... I hope it brings you lots of good and not too much (more) time with your families.

@canadmos, I was at an xc ski shop the other day and saw these on a mannequin: https://www.sail.ca/swix-menali-2-0-men-s-cross-country-insulated-shorts-741282?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=surfaces_across_google&utm_campaign=1638071213&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=Cj0KCQiAlZH_BRCgARIsAAZHSBlM-VIPECESh8wvW5-3n4NQ2LkLmvNI3hUk4_3CrwR_P49GFK9G07AaArNKEALw_wcB might be the cure for you cold thighs?

Skied with kids. Fun was had by all. Stopping for a snack with them is apparently the key to getting in longer days without the middle kid (in pink) melting down at end of day.
