I think I will try to find some semifrozen dirt on the fatty today.

The October beach trip cost me my end of summer biking wind down and I'm feeling remiss and verklemp.

I think a post Turkey day road trip to Vernal/Fruita in December may be on tap as I am totes not ready (mentally) for winter.

Is your boss doing the helicopter?
i technically do not have a boss right now. this was all the higher ups trying to explain (poorly) why there was a second round of layoffs and some sites/functions lost ~75% of their teams this year. they had an open q&a forum and were astounded that there were no questions

on the most awkward townhall i've ever been on.
Apparently after my layoff they did something similar, and had effectively no answers

"Where do we go from here, what's next for us?"
"Yes ha ha"

Apparently the CSO came in and had no idea who anybody was. management

So still at a movie festival but had so much work that I didnt watch shit today and instead ended up working 11h. This was supposed to end but...my favorite country in the world is as good at tracking data as The Presidential Cheeto is at making casinos profitable.

They will reject if 5+ new accounts in last 24 mo regardless of score, DTI, anything else.
Yeah, I just googled. I should take a peek there because I take advantage of HD a lot. But Wifey and I cycle a lot and it's largely things in my name vs. hers. I got in for United, so that covers Haley and my flights in Jan. I was hoping to get the Marriot or IHG too, to cover the hotel. That will just leave the rental, which I get at a really discounted corp rate through work.

If Wifey can get the United and IHG, then we'll be able to wipe out our travel costs for the most part and thankfully not have to drive for either trip. But you never know how it will work out.

Sometimes when i get to work on bikes that I have previously worked on. I get a sense of how bad my decision-making skills are not good in a particular moment. I have regerts. My pro Shimano stance has come back to haunt me. Most Shimano components that age are not serviceable as Shimano does not offer parts for service. Mavic is in the same boat.

Holy hell, we get 4 mother fuckers show up to the VFW meeting and none of them are the commander. Called him and he got there 30 minutes late but we are still 1 short for a quorum, so he called his dad. Like pulling teeth from a duck.
