As someone who has spent decades riding bmx and street, yes. Everyone who wants to improve their bike handling skills should ride bmx or a cruiser.
I went to 24" cruiser in high school because 20" was just too small on my 6'4" frame. I really like my rigid DK 26" dirt jumper, but I like the idea of the Redline with more BMX geometry vs the DJ slammed seat.

What's funny is while trying to track down the manufacturer, I found a bike shop in the UK of the same name. He said he wasn't able to locate any company info either and wished me luck on my project.

Neat. Shop is in. Working out the details. It’s a cut glass business that has been there since 1911. Just want smaller items ~$100 or less. But simple cutting and charcuterie boards are simple and quick to make.

things are drying. drywall guys came to give an estimate to replace downstairs ceiling. kiddo, a freshman who wrestled his way onto varsity, lost the past few matches, lost the first one today and got sat for the second one and was feeling dejected, but toughed out his last match for his first varsity win. has another meet tomorrow. he dislikes getting up at fyve ay em for the weekend ones (as do we all) but i'm making him go because the only thing holding him back is experience at this point. kid is 14 and strong as an ox.

Is it one of those weird roadside parks just off the interstate?

Nebraska has a lot of parks by the interstate because if you dig a hole in that state you get a lake. So all the ramps for overpasses over the interstate make a lake on what is typically already public property.
