Downtown Wichita is surprisingly hip. The rest is definitely in Kansas. Ran along the river for a bit. Was pretty. Now playing hurry up and wait at the airport for parts.
It's always an adventure over where are the black widows hiding at my house, anything in the garage or outdoors is fair game for a "nice" surprise when you pick it up.
Apparently some of it survived... but I'm gonna need to do some pruning *and* I probably should get some more basil planted.
Also pulled in about 35# of tomatoes yesterday afternoon in anticipation of the forecasted frost.
Also forgot to pull in the basil... so we'll see if it survives the frost that *did* occur.
Was there world ending levels of rain in SW CO yesterday??
Not by any means but enough in the draws that normal folks would know to steer clear from.

Place is getting crazy
Got more done than planned. Finished Hannah's room and the upstairs foyer. I got Haley to start cleaning up her room so that when we get back I can go straight back to work. We've been pushing hard on getting her to clean it, but she's refused. Managed to fill a trash bag full; impressive.
Maiden tore the fucking roof off the building, now sitting like a duck in a fucking parking lot.
brought in porch plants. gonna be chilly next few days, then back to epic fall conditions. third fuckit friday in a row is being planned. lots of writing to do over next few weeks. and axes to woodburn for my annual contribution to local 5k/10k race a buddy runs.
Oh and btw. Bruce is a darling.
Home at last. Stumbled through a small town off the highway with it's own distillery and dared to pick up a bottle untested. Sipping the bourbon now, quite good actually. I should probably cover the tomatoes, but I don't think I care right now. We've had a very good year, garden wise. It may be time to let go. Noon time show tomorrow. 
I had to plan to visit my dad but now he is not feeling good so at the moment no plans. I am alone with the boys so it's a bit tricky or else it would have been cool and I could have visited a Rhododendron specialist in Nyborg too.
My back yard is currently a welcome spider exhibit. It is also fruit fly plague season so I am rooting for the spiders.
