Did a quick flight to check on the logs at the top of island, Neighbor had a huge tree come down this morning and hang up on the docks.....again....Thinking I am digging the Hero 10 and its settings thus far. Stupid plane was coming over and the ceiling got limited on me.

First test back - Haley is negative.
Wifey is negative.
Hannah is "inconclusive". Back to the home test. Well that was negative. Hannah's best friend's mom is a Dr and pushing us to get another real test.

Hannah's best friend is positive. 6/20 kids now. School is closed, so we can't confirm if any adtl.
Probably catch it waiting in line for next test. Fuuuuu

4 negatives. Hannah - 2 home, 1 PCR, 1 rapid. Dr said she just has a good old-fashioned viral infection. Still wants her in a mask when gma/mil is here, but we're free to live again.

I also came back negative.

Avalanche something?

Mountains are looking very snowy for the little glimpses I can see. So much for my plan to ride to the top of Mt Evans tomorrow.

It’s apples to apples. I can only compare it to my gasser, which struggled with wet snow more. (They are equivalent in size). The electric one can throw the snow like 25-50 feet, and you can control exactly where. If you wanted to compare it to a much bigger one, you would have to assume Ego had one that ran on four batteries. I cleared 14” of dense snow today, no problems at all.

Should get another 40” or 50” in the next ten days, I’ll keep you updated.

aw

adorable

I'm going to be nice and not post all the amazon reviews on that thing. I'm glad it's working for you. But please for the love of jesus do not think for a second that compares to a decent sized honda or ariens. And yes I've been seeing those things around here. Usually a honda ends up in its place in about 2 storms.

I had meant to change the oil in our snow blower before this winter, but we've only had 3" of snow this winter so not in any hurry...

Does this Ariens Deluxe 24-in 254-cu make my ass look fat?

Mr Plow is down with the Covid, and his helper doesn't appear to be doing my driveway...

But I just spent 4 hours to drive 1/2 mile while waiting for my turn to get escorted the last 9 miles of ID-20 to Mack's Inn which was "closed" due to subpar visibility, drifting snow and sideways wind, I was just happy to be able to drive up to my house, and would've walked the 5 blocks from the hwy if need be...

In a pinch I could clear myself out to the first plowed road if snowed in with this bad larry and enough dinosaur piss.

It would appear the road closure has also created an early vacancy at Mr. Plow's AirBnB, so I better check the water temps in his outdoor tub ;)

ETA: I suck particularly at remembering to drain/change oil/gas every winter in the mower/snow thrower so brushless rechargeable would totally be my jam in BZN / more urban environs...

@kidwoo , blower update, this thing kicks ass for light residential use. We got about ten inches of upside down snow, it was basically raining at 4:00. My honda would have packed up and quit in this type of 'snow'...the Ego blasted right through it, down to the concrete and dirt. The batteries almost made it, but this thick snow is rough. I have spares on the way. Quite impressed.
