I have a 06' 66RC2X on my SC Bullit I plan on using for DH @ Northstar this season. Last Northstar was open I was running a Shiver DC - nice fork just a tad heavy. Will the 66 be up for the task ? I have a line on a Travis 180 as a choice. I am no hucker but like plowing rock gardens. Thanx

Yeah, a 66 should easily take that kind of abuse and some more.

The 66 should be fine, however I dont think it will feel as good as the shiver.

Keep the 66, I have been abusing mine at Diablo for a month end of last season and all of this season with no complaints. Depending on you weight there is a little tweaking you can do to make it feel just as good as an 888

i have a '05 66 that i switched out for my old '03 superT. i thought i'd lose some performance in the rough DH stuff but it actually performs better than the supert. i raced it at massanutten (very rocky course) and it sucked it all up without a problem. i love it
