I rode a 2008 Aline and Shore at the product release in Whistler. Im 6'4 and the M/L Aline was way to small.

The Shore on the other hand was extremely dope. Felt a tad beefier than my sx trail.

One of Norco's big things for this year was dropping weight off frames.

CBJ said it perfectly.

The DH team kinda reminds me of my first 'proper' DH bike: an Avanti Moto DH. Those who know this bike will know what I mean... Every young kiwi rider started off on one of these... (well, at least they did back in the day).

Erm, yes they do. You're thinking of the D8 perhaps?

The avanti moto looked like it came from the same factory as the VPS 1-2-3 series norcos, 1997 or so vintage

And hows that got anything to do with these bikes, 10 years later?

i would totally rock the Shore in concept. however, after living with an Intense Uzzi SLX a few years back i vowed to never again get a bike with an interrupted seat tube.

i'm still waiting for some real innovation from the dh companies before i get another dh/freeride rig...

My bike, pretty sweet. Those tyres are actually quite light, they are fro lites, about 50 grams lighter than a 2.35 high roller and a little wider too.

08 model team should come in 40-41(at the very most) stock if my math is right. It comes stock with TI spring, 888 wc air, 440 hubs, oct cranks, lg1, mag peds etc...
Nice bike! I thought all i\Intenses were like dirtbike tires. Stock with a Ti spring is cool.
