Surprising they are so late with the release. Not surprising the price is going up, considering the way the USD is going and that the frames are made offshore.
My '07 SX T has the same spec, and it cost a heck of a lot less. THey are way out of bounds on their pricing. The deal is, they sold out real fast this year, so they are jacking their margins. They may not sell out as fast, but they will make more profit. I love my sx trail, but would not buy it for an extra $600.
money hungry bastards...i could understand maybe a $50-100 increase...but damn! a $500 increase for the same spec built bike as this years? the changes don't reflect the significant increase
I got my Sunday WC for 4800-4900 if I remeber correctly. That is a bull**** price for the demo, wouldn't see why anyone would want one anyway but that's just my opinion.
I would expect Iron Horse pricing to go up as well. And every other manufacturer who utilizes off shore manufacturing facilities or gets raw materials off shore. Cost of metals is increasing significantly.
The 07 Sunday World Cup is 6 G's.
And the top 08 Demo is $6300.
That said, ALL of Specialized prices are up across the board.......alot.
I wonder if this is a trend in the whole industry or not.
I'm glad I was planning on keeping my bike this year anyway.
dood, the prices are sick. I was at my local spec dealer today and me and the owner were having a good laugh at their prices, especially compared to GT and mongoose, its ridiculous
