yep its possable for the 2002 model, not to shure bout the 2001 or 2003 ones but heres the instrictions,

ok first take a 6mm alen wrench and unscrew the bolts on the bottom of the fork legs. then with a 23mm socket remove the top caps, and the spring and spacer. now pull the legs off (this may require force). when they are off u will see long metal rods comming out of the bottom of the stancion tubes. on these rods u may see a piece of elastomer and a plastic spacer on each rod (if they are not there dont panic they are still in the legs, u will have to dig them out).
no when all that is done, push the long rods up out of the stancions were the caps were. these rods will be flat at the top and have small springs on the top, remove these springs (may reqire force).
find a thick piece of rubber and cut a circle the same size as the top of the rod, then put a hole in the middle and slide them to the tops of the rods. put the rods back inside the stancion tubes. then take one of the small springs and place it in the stancion of the adjustment side, and the regualar spring on top of it(do not use the little plastic spacer on the bottom of the spring, save it), and screw in the cap ( do not put other cap on). now put the . put the legs back on, and use a long screwdriver to put down in the dummy side (side with no spring) and press down on the top of the rod. with the 6mm alen wrench screw the bolts back on for the legs, remove the screwdriver, and put on the other cap. your done!!! follow instructions carefully and do everything noted.

Remember to leave out the plastic spacers, there will be 1 in each leg, and one elastomer in each leg too, if you8 want you can leave in the elastomers, but take out the plastic spacers. I took it all out to get slightly more travel, but you will get horrable bottom out when you do if you go huge on them like 6+, i did.

A tip for getting the sliders off the stanchions, after you loosen the bottom bolt, don't take it all the way out tap it with a hammer to break the guide rod loose.
