looking for just the thru axle not the hub anyone know where i can get one offline? I did a google search but all it returns is stuff about the actual hub.

Azonic makes one, QBS has it in the catalogue. Bike shop can order it.

Last I checked QBP didn't have any of the Azonics and they are supposedly a discontinued item. Your best bet for an aluminum 12x150 is to get the Sun 12x165 and cut it down. I would prefer a longer shank on the bolt but it hasn't caused me any problems yet.

Nope, just cut it down and deburr the end with a file. Not too many people make aluminum 12x150 axles aftermarket and I wouldn't use a steel axle because they are about 250g.

I had the same dillema...Transition will sell you one for $25, santa cruz one for $20(plus shipping). I ended up buying an M12x200mm carriage bolt and nut from McMaster Carr for $10. Yes, it is heavier, and yes I had to cut it down, but hey, it will be absolutely the last part on my bike or me to ever break.
