I think that we are missing the one variable in this. We all know about Bush and how he feels about Iran. But, if Iran develops a nuke and a means to deliver it, what will Israel do. They are known for premptive, quick and descisive strikes. If there is anyone I would worry about it would be them. Bush isnt dumb enough to push that envelope. He knows that he'd be shot down WELL before he got to the invasion part.

The Washington source said Mr Bush and Mr Cheney did not trust any potential successors in the White House, Republican or Democratic, to deal with Iran decisively.

Maybe so, but does anyone really trust this Admin's intelligence info and/or their ability to carry out a successful military campaign?
