So, basically, the only one really butt hurt over this is the race organizer, the women who got their places on the podium "stolen" are shrugging it off and the perpetrators are willing to publicly apologize, they gave back the prizes and will "do what it takes to make this right" and yet Colorado is going to spend tax payer money prosecuting this State level Class 6 "felony"??

Colorado is weird.

Damn hippies. It's a fvcking bicycle race.

Front Range, dude...
"Miller said Brazelton could not race because of an injury and didn't want to waste the $250 fee."

Simple fix. Make the entry transferrable. Dont waste a pfennig of taxpayer dinero on prosecution...

When I was a USAT official we had to deal with "Race Bandits" all the time. The biggest issue is is liability insurance, the insurance companies will not cover non registered participants. If the promoter doesn't go after the bandits the insurance coverage will get dropped and no one races. it's a big mess
