From what I remember, it is not a $100 job, but the parts may cost $50 or so, and then whatever your time is worth.

The seals cost about $40, the oil about $10, and you MAY need a special too.

a hundred bucks sounds pretty steep?
35-40 for seals (kit incld. dust and oil seal)
40 for labor.

o.k. so its almost a 100 but....
just make sure they know what they are doing, it is worth having a shop do the work but i've seen and heard some pretty crazy stories.
no special tools needed for this job.

the nice part about using a shop is you have someone to bitch at (other than yerself) if the job is ate up...

< cheap bastard... i had to install voice mail cause i piss myself off so often

they would also put new bushing sleeves in the sliders so it sound like its worth it

yeah with new bushings it is not a rip-off!!

this is the time to make changes to the fork if you had any thoughts about it in the past. oil hieght and weight will effect the way the fork feels.
good luck, and i hope your shop has good solid mechanics.
