Is this possible? Gosh, I'd sure love to know! The fork came with a SSVF set up that is 'ok', I'd love to be able to upgrade the dampening to the good stuff.

I don't know if the DJ forks can be upgraded to HSCV, as none of the DJ forks have it and I know the stanctions are thicker walled than the Z.1 series, but honestly, you're going to spend as much on the cartridges as you would on a new Z.1.

The HSCV carts for the Super T run about $300. I would expect the Z.1 carts to run about the same. For $85 more you can get an '03 Z.1 FR with 32mm stanctions from JensonUSA. For less than that, I'm sure you can pick up a mint condition '02 Z.1 from the MTBR classifides or the Buy and Sell section here.

I agree w/ Binary. You'd probably save a lot of $$$$$$ by just selling the DJ for $150, and buying a Shiver SC or a Z.1 FR for 300-350. Plus, the '01/'02 DJs weren't all that hot. Sh*tty M-arch, 30mm stanchions, creaky steerers, etc......

Shiver SC would pretty much blow it all away, I've seen 'em new for as little as $330....
