Hey,

Does anyone know whether the 2002 Specialized Enduro (specifically, Expert) model frames are compatible with double-clamp downhill forks (6+ inches of travel). I realize that this will be a bit unbalanced with 5.2" of travel in the rear, but I think I can sort it out. I'm really just wondering about head-tube-rip-off-age.

Thanks!

Specialized will say that they aren't designed to take that much torque (if you take a direct hit to the front) I ran a triple clamp 7" fork on an FSR (not big hit) frame for two years before ovaling the head tube... and the only reason I did that was I went over a cliff and the bike took a brutal hit straight on... also you I spoke with the guys at a local shop that deals specialized and the MRP travel kit will fit on the 2002 Enduro frames, so that would help with the angle problem.
