I recently put a new 2007 888WC on my DHR. I rode it this weekend and the first quarter of travel has some serious stiction and makes some serious noise when compressing. I checked the fluid level and all is good. Anyone got some tips to cure this sickness? I didnt have this problem with my old 888RC. It was smooth out of the box.

I just picked one up a couple weeks ago too and had the same experience. A half dozen runs down the local DH course and the stiction was gone. The noise.....like the sound of the springs rattling inside? I gave the preload a couple of turns and it got a bit quieter but you can still hear it.

I guess i will just need to ride it some more. I was thinking about putting some heat shrink on the springs to quiet them down.
