He reckoned if Marzocchi thought the stronger cable was ok then they would have used it. But they used string as it won't damaged the sides of the lowers the PAR assembly is in or other parts as it rubs against them as the forks compresses and extends. There may be an element of truth in this, but I can't see there being so much wear and tear that it'll wear right through or weaken parts.

Wow, thanks for the link! I've asked for help there....asking if they know what the correct length of the cable should be for my 888.

Then I'll make my own. It'll be a good exercise anyway....it'll force me to open up and work on my fork

i have some issue with my 888,
oil bleeds into par air chamber

here was same problem posted but i cant find it.
is it only matter of replacing sealing ?

i had a sh!t ton of oil in mine. i couldnt believe how much oil leaked in.
